He is from the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. He holds a PhD Degree with specialization in Environmental Management from the University of Nigeria. His PhD research
work incidentally was on the Bioremediation of Hydrocarbon
Polluted Soil in the Niger Delta Region by Enhanced Natural
Attenuation, using a site in Goi in Ogoniland and a site in
the Bonny Terminal, Bonny Island respectively, representing
the Low Land Ecosystem and the Barrier Island Ecosystem as
the study sites for adequate comparison of the studies.
He has bountiful hands-on field and academic experiences in
the area of oil spill management and environmental remediation,
having worked in the Oil and Gas industry [Shell Petroleum
Development Company of Nigeria and Clean Nigeria Associates
Limited] for more than 17 years.
He has supervised several oil spill emergency response as
coordinator and on scene commander for SPDC.
He has also supervised and delivered over 120 Cleanup and
Remediation Project Sites, for SPDC. He is very well equipped
in knowledge and practical field experiences both in and out
Country in oil spill response and environmental management.
